Rally
Rally is essentially an
obstacle course for dogs
and owners that is taken at
a walk rather than a run.
This is a great way to
practice obedience work
while both you and your dog
have a great time!  Check
the Internet for Rally training
classes in your area!
Agility
Agility is an obstacle course for dogs that is
completed as fast as possible with constant
direction from the owner.  Cattle Dogs love
agility work, and several organizations around
the Bay Area offer these classes. Just check the
Internet!

WARNING:  This is a highly competitive
environment and many trainers use aversive
training techniques to try to get performance
quickly.  DON'T FOLLOW THEIR
INSTRUCTION!  When in doubt, remember the
Cattledog Dream Training Mantra:

"If you wouldn't do it to a human six year old,
you shouldn't do it to your dog!"

Herding
Cattle Dogs are natural
herders, but they need

their instincts, and they
need something to herd!
