We want both you and your new family member to be happy together, so we offer a
money-back guarantee with every dog. Here's how it works.
Every dog adopted from Cattledog Dreams has had a routine vet check and is
believed to be healthy. However, it is impossible to guarantee a dog's health, so we
recommend you take your new companion to your vet within the first two weeks of
adoption to get a second opinion. Some adopters choose to have their vet complete
routine x-rays or blood-work during this visit to get a complete picture of their dog's
health. Please note, this vet check is conducted at the adopter's expense and is not
reimbursable by Cattledog Dreams.
Should you find any medical condition that you are not willing to address, or if you
simply change your mind about the dog for any reason, you may return him or her to
Cattledog Dreams within two weeks of adoption and receive a refund of your
adoption donation minus a $50 administrative fee. Adopters who return dogs after
two weeks will not receive a refund. Dogs returned after four months will be subject
to the conditions of our re-homing program.

Cattledog Dreams is a non-profit organization that
relies on volunteer efforts and our adoption donations
to save dogs.
Like all rescue organizations, we do not sell dogs. We
adopt dogs out to homes that have both the time and
money to take over the dog's care and training, and
include them in their family life.
To help us continue our work, we ask every adoptive
family to make a donation to our medical and training
funds. Our suggested adoption donations are:

Our Adoption Package
Your donation is essential to our rescue efforts! The suggested donations cover the
costs we incur to rescue the average healthy Cattle Dog from the shelter (including
shelter fees, medical expenses, transportation, food and supplies), and provide you
with the training assistance and supplies noted in the Adoption Package below. In
addition, approximately 10% of the adoption fee goes toward extraordinary costs which
we experience when one of our dogs needs extra medical treatment.
Your donation does not pay for the hundreds of hours of volunteer time it takes to
rescue dogs (calling, transporting, photographing, uploading to websites, cleaning,
interviewing, training both dogs and volunteers, and completing office paperwork). The
rescue community contributes their time, and your adoption donation pays for
out-of-pocket costs for your dog and others like him so we can continue our rescue
efforts and not have to spend critical time on fundraising campaigns.
